Waiting Room Ministry is grateful to those who submit prayer requests for their loved ones and the many intercessors who bring them to the LORD during the Annual Labor of Love event. I am confident that the LORD hears each one. In His perfect timing, He is working everything out for good and for His Glory!
The feedback we received from past participants' surveys was a guide to help them prepare for intercession. I hope this Intercessory Guide is helpful not only to those who participate in the Labor of Love but to families who persistently knock on the LORD’s door!
Keep knocking, keep persevering in prayer for your loved one! Know that you are not alone; the LORD has an army of families who pray with you!
May the LORD bless you while you are waiting on Him!

THE MODEL OF INTERCESSION
There are many excellent resources on intercessory prayer. Andrew Murray’s book, The Ministry of Intercession, provides a foundation for those who desire to learn more as they intercede for lost loved ones. Murray, born in 1828 and died in 1917, was a prominent South African minister.
Murray uses the model of intercession from the parable Jesus taught in Luke 11:5-6. The Elements of True Intercession¹ are taken directly from the book, and given the time of the writings, use language and grammar from that time period. ¹
Luke 11:5-8
Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.’ And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.
